Tōro The active family assistant for the week ahead.

Tōro means to reach out or explore. Tōro is the family assistant inside assembl. Forward the school newsletter, the Kindo notice, the OSCAR confirmation, or a messy household note. It reads what matters, drafts the calendar entry or reply, and waits for a parent to approve.

Tōro family evidence vessel

family landing

School comms, routines, money, and the week ahead.

What this app does

How Tōro, the Family organiser, helps the household stay ahead.

Tōro is email-first by design. Each household gets an inbound forwarding address so newsletters, assembly notes, forms, hot-lunch reminders, invoices, and sports notices can land in one place. Tōro reads what arrives, drafts the response or calendar entry, and waits for approval before anything goes out.

The app is built to think ahead: pending approvals, this week's routines, trip plans, fridge-to-list meal ideas, school deadlines, and consent checks are surfaced before they become another evening admin scramble.

Nothing ships without a human click. Every draft is reviewable, every action is consent-gated, and every reply uses your voice. Privacy Act 2020 IPP 3A is honoured by default; children's data stays inside the family tenant.

Practical tools and assistants

What Tōro ships with.

Live now

Tōro Term Planner

Forward school newsletters, get a term-shaped plan back.

Drop the term newsletter, the assembly note, or the permission slip. Tōro pulls the dates into a draft calendar, drafts the reply you would have sent, and waits for your tick before anything goes out. Kindo, Hero, Seesaw, and plain-email schools all fit the same pattern.

Tōro Kid Money

Pocket-money and chores ledger for families.

Set a chore, kids submit photo proof, you approve. Payments can split across save, spend, and giving so the habit shows up in the maths, not just the marketing. One ledger per household, kid-safe by default.

Launching Q3 2026

Tōro Holiday Ideas

NZ-shaped school-holiday plans in 10 minutes, not two evenings.

Two-week term-break plans pulled from real local OSCAR programmes, council activities, and rainy-day options for your region. Drafts a parent-coordinated week, surfaces booking deadlines, and only proposes what fits the budget you set. Holiday Ideas launches in Q3 2026.

Working assistants

Explore Tōro's working knowledge.

The visible job comes first: school notices, routines, money, trips, meals, and approvals. Tōro and its named assistants stay consent-gated and parent-reviewed.

Inside the Family plan

The quieter habits Tōro keeps for you.

Household routines

Morning, after-school, and bedtime routines tracked alongside the school calendar — gentle reminders, never nags.

School logistics

Assembly notes, hot-lunch orders, sports gear, permission slips — captured from email and surfaced when they are actually needed.

The running list

Groceries, repairs, birthday gifts, library books to return — forward it in, Tōro keeps the thread.

Kid-safe by default

Tōro is scoped to your family tenant. No public profile, no surfacing of children's data, no upsells inside the conversation.

Language choice

Use English, te reo Māori, or both. Set the voice per family member.

Email-first, messaging roadmap

Forward from any client — Gmail, Outlook, school portal, your phone. SMS and WhatsApp pings are available in the Industry Pack roadmap; Family onboarding starts with email forwarding and human-reviewed drafts.
