WoF readiness checklist - 2014 Toyota Hiace

Last WoF: not supplied

Check first

  • Left brake light intermittent — replace the bulb or check the wiring before inspection. Brake lights are a common fail item.

Lights

  • Confirm headlights (high + low beam), indicators front and rear, brake lights both sides, reverse, parking, and plate light all working with correct colour.

Tyres & wheels

  • Tread depth ≥ 1.5mm across the central three-quarters. Check for sidewall cuts, bulges, or uneven wear. A 2014 Hiace at typical mileage is due for replacement around 50,000km.

Brakes

  • Parking brake holds the van on a slope. No fluid leaks at calipers or under the master cylinder. Pedal firm — no spongy travel.

Reviewer note

This is a pre-inspection checklist, not a guarantee. Book in at VTNZ or VINZ for the actual WoF. Flag the brake-light issue with the inspector ahead of the appointment.
